Amenity Fertilisers professional turf nutrition

Amenity fertilisers professional turf crop nutrition

SoilWorx amenity fertilisers are engineered for professional turf management. Premiership football pitches, championship golf courses, county cricket squares, public amenity grassland: our hybrid pellet and crumb formulations deliver phased nutrient release, even distribution and soil-building organic matter for high-performance turf.

Our amenity range combines mineral and organic nutrient sources in a single application, providing both immediate availability and sustained release throughout the growing season. The result: consistent colour, density and root development without the flush-and-fade growth pattern of purely mineral feeds.

Dynamo Sport
10-1-10

Dynamo Sport 10-1-10 is a hybrid pellet and crumb fertiliser and soil improver combining mineral and organic nutrient sources. It provides a phased nutrient release to support turf growth throughout the growing season: an initial response from the mineral component followed by sustained nutrition as the organic fraction mineralises.

The balanced 10-1-10 analysis delivers equal parts nitrogen and potassium. The nitrogen drives grass growth, colour and density. The potassium improves wear tolerance, drought resistance and disease suppression: critical qualities for turf under heavy use.

Key Features: Dynamo Sport

  • 10% N, 1% P2O5, 10% K2O: balanced N:K ratio for maintained turf under play
  • Hybrid formulation: mineral + organic for phased release and soil improvement
  • Pellet/crumb form: low particle size for even distribution on fine turf
  • Sustained colour: avoids the growth surge and rapid fade of purely mineral feeds
  • Wear recovery: potassium strengthens turf to withstand and recover from heavy traffic

When to Use Dynamo Sport

Apply during the growing season (March–October) at 4–6 week intervals depending on turf demand, play intensity and weather. Ideal for mid-season maintenance feeds on sports pitches, golf fairways and tees, bowling greens, and public amenity areas.

Dynamo Pro Grass 6-10-2 is a high-phosphorus hybrid fertiliser designed for turf establishment, renovation and root development. The elevated phosphorus (10% P2O5) drives rapid root growth in newly seeded or turfed areas, while the organic component improves the soil environment that young roots grow into.

Key Features: Pro Grass

  • 6% N, 10% P2O5, 2% K2O: high phosphorus for root establishment
  • Hybrid formulation: mineral + organic for immediate and sustained nutrient supply
  • Root development: phosphorus promotes rapid, deep root growth in new turf
  • Renovation and repair: ideal for overseeding, divot repair and end-of-season renovation
  • Soil conditioning: organic matter improves soil structure around developing roots

When to Use Pro Grass

Apply at sowing or turfing to support initial root establishment. Also effective for autumn renovation programmes, divot repair mixtures and overseeding programmes. Apply at 35–50 g per m2 depending on the situation.

Why choose organic amenity fertiliser?

Professional turf managers are increasingly looking beyond purely mineral nutrition. Organic and hybrid fertilisers offer significant advantages for turf health and environmental stewardship:

  • Soil health: Organic matter feeds soil biology, improves structure and builds resilience against drought, waterlogging and disease
  • Sustained release: Avoids the surge-and-fade growth that increases mowing frequency, weakens turf and creates thatch
  • Reduced leaching: Organically bound nitrogen and phosphorus are far less susceptible to leaching than their soluble mineral equivalents
  • Environmental compliance: Reduced nutrient run-off supports compliance with water quality regulations and sustainability frameworks
  • User experience: Low odour, clean handling, no scorch risk at recommended rates

Application guidance for professional turf

Equipment

Apply with a calibrated drop spreader or rotary spreader. The hybrid pellet and crumb form distributes evenly at standard settings. Water in lightly after application if rainfall is not expected within 24 hours.

Rates

Dynamo Sport: 30–50 g per m2 per application, every 4–6 weeks during the growing season. Pro Grass: 35–50 g per m2 at establishment or renovation. Adjust rates based on soil test results and turf condition.

Timing

Begin applications in March/April as soil temperatures rise above 6°C and grass growth resumes. Continue through to September/October. Avoid application during drought stress or when frost is forecast.

Frequently asked questions

Dynamo Sport 10-1-10 is a maintenance fertiliser for established turf, providing balanced nitrogen and potassium for growth, colour and wear tolerance. Pro Grass 6-10-2 is an establishment and renovation fertiliser with high phosphorus for root development. In practice, most turf managers use Pro Grass at seeding or renovation and Dynamo Sport for ongoing seasonal feeds.

The hybrid pellet and crumb form is suitable for fairways, tees, surrounds and approaches. For fine turf such as golf greens and bowling greens, consult our team: we can advise on particle size suitability for your specific mowing height and surface requirements, or develop a custom blend through our manufacturing service.

At recommended application rates, SoilWorx amenity fertilisers will not scorch turf. The hybrid formulation and gradual release profile greatly reduce scorch risk compared to high-analysis soluble mineral fertilisers. Always calibrate your spreader and avoid overlapping passes.

The mineral component provides a visible response within 5–7 days (colour improvement, initial growth response). The organic component sustains this response over 4–8 weeks as nutrients are released through microbial activity. This phased release avoids the dramatic flush-and-fade seen with purely mineral feeds.

SoilWorx amenity fertilisers are designed for natural grass surfaces. For hybrid pitch systems with a grass component, application may be appropriate: consult both your pitch manufacturer and our agronomic team before use.
